Key Points:

• Similar to PolyJet technology, but higher head temperatures enable the jetting of real wax.
• Max (single part) build volume of 11.5x7x8", but smaller parts are encouraged, as support removal from large and fragile wax parts can be tricky.
• Unrivaled surface finish for cast-ready masters requiring minimal post-processing.

Projet (not to be confused with Polyjet) was invented by 3D systems.  The Projet process is also inkjet based, but differs from Polyjet in that higher head temperatures enable the jetting of waxes.  The high resolution wax models that it can produce melt perfectly, and are ideal for investment casting jewelry or even functional metal parts.  Most jewelers and professional casting houses will agree that even the best wax filled resins pale in comparison to the castability of 100% wax. 

At POP we have a Projet 3600-class machine that's set up with wax, and ready for investment casting masters ranging in size from wedding bands to turbo impellers.  

It's undoubtedly a niche technology -- but when it's the right machine, it's the only machine that matters!
